"Fall Back" - Tips for the end of Daylight Savings Time for Adults

The 10 Steps

  • Saturday night, go to bed at your regular bedtime.

  • You will end up waking up 1 hour earlier on Sunday morning. Get up and start your day at this time.

  • Go to sleep at your regular bedtime (current clock). It may be challenging to stay awake but commit and try hard.

  • Get up at your normal wake-up time the next day.

  • Do not nap to compensate!

  • Get up and have a healthy breakfast!

  • Only have 1 cup of coffee when you wake up for the day.

  • Work out in the morning to boost your energy and focus.

  • Do not watch TV in bed or use your electronic devices an hour before you get into bed.

  • It usually takes a couple of days to get the hang of the new time.
