Although medication is appropriate at times, it can also produce short-lived results, can stop working and have side-effects. Sleep deprivation is difficult and depletes us of energy. There’s conflicting advice everywhere. You think, something must be wrong with me, I’ve tried everything, spoken to doctors, friends, combed the internet late at night to find the answer, yet all still feels hopeless.
Lack of sleep can cause serious health problems, kill sex drive, dumb you down, cause depression, age your skin, make you forgetful, gain weight and impair your judgement. Insomnia can seriously affect your life.

There are many reasons why people suffer from sleep issues. Sleep challenges can get triggered by many things, life stress, anxiety and hormonal changes are among a few of the reasons. It is understandable to want a quick fix to make the problem go away. How can one function as a parent or at their job with little sleep, broken sleep or almost no sleep at all? It is important at this moment to take pause, take a deep breath and make a concious decison to embrace the core of the problem. It is now time to heal your insomnia from within.

My sleep strategy is rooted in many areas of practice, all of which have proven to be more effective than any form of sleep medication. Sleeping aids can be useful at certain times in your life with the guidance of your doctor, however they act as a Band-aid, covering the true issue and do not solve long-term sleep issues. I will educate you in the application of these practices. I believe you know yourself better than anyone else. You are the expert of yourself. When working together, I take the whole person into consideration.
I see your insomnia as a symptom and you are the solution. I work with you to create new sleep habits, quiet your mind and prevent future insomnia. I take everything into account and look at every aspect of you and your life that can affect your sleep. I am here to help you view your sleep issues from a deeper more knowing place within you and I will help you understand the underlying causes of your sleep problems. It is my belief that all the answers are inside of you already. Together, we will discover not only why these sleep deprived nights are occurring, but how to lovingly work your way out of your sleep obstacles.
